Sheriff's Office warns about counterfeit $100 bills

The Broadwater County Sheriff's Office issued a warning last Friday about counterfeit bills circulating locally.

According to Sheriff Nick Rauser, they are currently investigating the recent case involving $100 bills. He encouraged businesses to be extra vigilant and mindful of all cash.

Rauser said the issue is something his office sees too often.

"It isn't very rare, unfortunately. We see it at all businesses across the county," he said.
