Ellen Louise Robertson

Ellen Louise Robertson (née Thomas), 84, passed away on August 13, 2024, in Muncie, Indiana. Born on December 9, 1939, in Three Forks, Montana, she spent her early years surrounded by the natural beauty of her birthplace, which instilled in her a lifelong passion for crafts and community.

Ellen began her career as a telephone operator and also worked at the local hobby store, a job that perfectly aligned with her creative talents. Her artistic skills were evident in her numerous crafts, including candy making, sewing, altering clothes, and making doll clothes. Ellen's handcrafted items were not only a staple at local bazaars but also received accolades at the Montana State Fair, where she showcased her candies, cakes, sewing projects, and quilts. Ellen also loved to work with flowers. She opened a flower shop next to her house and included her family in the business.

A true animal lover, Ellen found companionship and joy in her faithful dog, Abby, who remained by her side until the end. Her love for horses also reflected her deep connection to her Montana roots, where she grew up riding and caring for them. Ellen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rex Robertson, and her parents, Chuck and Nellie Thomas. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey; her daughter, Jacqueline Williams and son-in-law Dan, granddog Shasta and her cherished dog, Abby.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Three Forks, with the date, time and location to be determined. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ellen's memory can be made to the Three Forks Historical Society, honoring her commitment to community heritage. Ellen's legacy of creativity, love for her family, and dedication to her community will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
