A wind-driven wildland fire that erupted off of Madison Road on August 21, 2024, has been successfully contained thanks to the coordinated efforts of multiple fire agencies and resources.
Firefighters responded promptly to reports of a large fire moving rapidly to the north due to strong winds. Initial units on scene, including 14-24, 14-22, 14-21, 4-1, and Tender 4-8, began establishing a wet line along Dyke Road on the east side of the fire. Despite their efforts, the fire's interior was inaccessible and continued to burn.
