Hoot-owl fishing restriction lifted on Madison River upstream of Hebgen Reservoir

A hoot-owl fishing restriction on the Madison River upstream of Hebgen Reservoir has been lifted thanks to recent cooler water temperatures.

The restriction had been in place since July 10 for the river between Hebgen Reservoir and the Yellowstone National Park boundary.

Other fishing restrictions and closures may be in effect in other waterbodies. All fishing is prohibited during full fishing closures. Hoot-owl restrictions prohibit fishing from 2 p.m. to midnight daily.
