Broadwater County Commission hosting meeting at headwaters Livestock Auction

The Broadwater County Commission is hosting a meeting next week in the Three Forks area.

The commission's regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 2, at 6 p.m. at the Headwaters Livestock Auction at 25 Wheatland Road in Three Forks.

According to Commissioner Lindsey Richtmyer, now that Headwaters Livestock Auction can host meetings again, they hope to hold quarterly meetings in the county's southern end.

"This is the goal, but with recording requirements, the evening timeframe, and location, it takes considerable coordination with staff and those on the agenda," she said.

Richtmyer noted that the agenda includes a discussion of the proposed Southern Emergency Response Center and updates on the TEDD District and Old Town Bridge replacement project.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. with public comment, followed by an update on the Old Town Bridge Projects from Stahly Engineering.

The next item on the agenda is an update from Montana Department of Transportation District 2 Administrator Gino Liva.

Broadwater County Clerk and Recorder Angie Paulsen will give an election update, followed by a report from Public Works Director TJ Graveley.

Community Development and Planning Director Nichole Brown will give an update, followed by Broadwater County Sheriff Nick Rauser.

An update on the Targeted Economic Development District from County Administrative Officer Bill Jarocki is next on the agenda. The meeting will conclude with an update on the Southern Emergency Response Building from Scott Cromwell of Slate Architecture.
