Replacement of bridges still going through Section 106 Process

The project to replace the two bridges on Old Town Road near Three Forks is still going through the Section 106 Process, intended to mitigate the removal of historic property.

Last week, the Broadwater County Commission received an update on the project from Adam Hagel of Stahly Engineering at a meeting at the Headwaters Livestock Auction in Three Forks.

Hagel told the commission that the Section 106 Process, undertaken by the Army Corps of Engineers, Montana State Historic Preservation Office, and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, started in November 2023.
