Headwaters Area Food Bank Operations Manager Emily Smith expects to provide over 100 full Thanksgiving meals in 2024.
According to Smith, HAFB is providing the meal, including the bird, for anyone who signs up, and they will be delivering Thanksgiving boxes to Clarkston on November 15, to Harrison on November 21, and a small delivery to Pony at to be determined date.
"For our customers that visit us in-store, we will be handing out boxes the week before Thanksgiving during our store hours," said Smith. "The holiday season is by far the busiest time of the year at the Headwaters Area Food Bank."
For those wanting to donate for Thanksgiving, the Headwaters Area Food Bank has a "wish list" of items, including turkeys, canned yams/sweet potatoes, stuffing mix, canned French beans, olives, pie crust, Jell-O, and fruit cocktail. Those with donation items can visit the food bank at 216 1st Avenue West in Three Forks or call 406-285-3559 to arrange a pickup.
"There is no doubt that we could not provide this service to our neighbors without the help of our fellow community members, who never fail to support us," Smith said.
