Headwaters Trail System applying for two grants

It will be a busy winter for Headwaters Trails System Director Gene Townsend.

At last week's Three Forks City Council meeting, the governing body gave Townsend the go-ahead to apply for $100,000 grants to the Montana Trail Stewardship Program and the Montana Recreational Trail Program.

According to Townsend, the maximum amount you can apply for with each grant is $100,000, with the trail system usually paying the 10 percent match for the Montana Trail Stewardship Program Grant.
