Three Forks Christmas Stroll set for December 14

With a theme of "A Very Vintage Christmas," it's once again time for the Three Forks Chamber of Commerce Christmas Stroll, with this year's annual event scheduled for Saturday, December 14, from Noon to 6 p.m.

Vendors at the 2024 Stroll will be located outside on Main Street and inside various locations, including the Three Rivers Senior Center, the Sacajawea Hotel's Event Tent, and the Rebekah's Lodge. Main Street in Three Forks will be closed to traffic from Neal Street to Date Street from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Merchant Bingo will take place from Noon to 5 p.m. and will allow patrons to visit each merchant and turn in their sheet for a chance to win a great prize donated by a Three Forks Chamber of Commerce business. A face-painting fundraiser hosted by the Three Forks Schools Drama Club will take place from Noon to 5 p.m. at the Rebekah Lodge, 120 E. Date Street.

The Railroad and Trident Heritage Museum will open during the Stroll from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., and volunteers will serve visitors hot cinnamon cider and popcorn balls. Raffle tickets for a railroad-themed quilt will also be sold.

The annual Gingerbread House Building Contest is scheduled at the Three Forks Library. This year's categories include six and under, seven to 12, most creative, most humorous, and most traditional. There will prizes to the top three finishers in each category. Submissions will be taken on December 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the Display at the library will take place on December 14 from Noon to 2 p.m.

A Scavenger Hunt is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., with patrons starting at the Three Forks Ambulance Barn to get clues with prizes awarded for the fun and festive hunt.

The Three Forks FFA Wreath and Silent Tree Auction will occur from Noon to 6 p.m.

Patrons can bid on beautifully decorated wreaths and trees to benefit the FFA.

The Holiday Edition Cornhole Tournament is scheduled to start at Noon at the Sacajawea Hotel Event tent with prizes for first and second place. The cost for each team is $40. To register, please email [email protected]. Players are asked to bring their boards, but there will be limited rentals for $10. The winners will receive Chamber Fun Bucks and proceeds from the tournament will be used for Main Street holiday decorations.

The inaugural Christmas Stroll Chili Cookoff is scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Ambulance Building. Entries must be ready for judging by 1 p.m., and the winners will receive a gift card from Three Forks Market. For more information, visit http://www.threeforksmontana.com/events/christmas-stroll.

The Children's Craft Corner will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Three Forks First Security Bank. The event will include free crafts, cookies, and fun.

First Security Event will sponsor horse-drawn carriage rides on Main Street from 1 to 4 p.m., with stops at Thriftway, Three Forks Saddlery, and the Ambulance Building.

Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be taken from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Three Forks Fire Hall. Patrons can get a free photo by Cody Cosmano with a canned food or non-perishable item for the Headwaters Area Food Bank.

The annual Lighted Parade will start at 5 p.m. on Main Street. To register, please visit the chamber website. Around 6 p.m., fireworks from Josh Beckett will light up the skies north of Main Street.

The Christmas Cookie Contest Display and Sale is scheduled for Noon to 2 p.m.

Submissions at the library will be taking place on December 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The categories for the contest are 12 and under and 13, and the cookies must be homemade and from scratch, with a recipe accompanying each entry. Those participating in the competition must submit 14 cookies, with first and second-place winners in each category. Other activities planned for the 2024 Stroll include the Three Forks High School Band and Choirs performing and singing carols, the Three Forks FCCLA earning money for Santa's Hat, an open house at Krae Art Studio at 12 E. Cedar, stop by the Headwaters Heritage Museum for handmade paper stockings filled with treats for children 12 & under, enjoy pizza by the slice at Stageline Pizza, and Candy Cane Lane at the Three Forks Community Library. Those visiting Candy Cane Lane can look for the Grinch and some Christmas Photo Board, snap a picture, and share it on the Chamber Facebook page to get "likes" and a chance to win Fun Bucks.

Those in attendance are also asked to shop at all the great Three Forks area businesses.
