Our View: Stroll a great event for Three Forks

It's once again time for one of the most popular local events of the year, the annual Three Forks Christmas Stroll.

The Three Forks Chamber of Commerce's event, which will take place on Saturday, December 14, offers area residents the chance to come together for a truly family-friendly event.

Much like "Rodeo Dayz" in July, the Three Forks Christmas Stroll is an excellent opportunity to get out and see Small Town America at its best.

For those who might not have attended the Stroll in a while or are new to town and have never been, this is a fantastic chance to get downtown and have some fun. It also serves as an opportunity to see friendly faces you might not have seen for a while or to meet new people.

There is something for everyone at the Stroll. Just a quick look at the schedule of events: The lighted parade is a hit with all ages. There is so much to do for kids, including a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, and there is plenty for adults, including fireworks at this year's Stroll. The article on this week's front page has a rundown of the packed schedule. Please take time to see what's happening and make your way to downtown Three Forks. With any event this size, with many things going on, a great crowd is always essential to help the event thrive and even add more in the future.

The Magris Basketball Tournament is set to return this week, which will hopefully bring some visiting fans downtown to see what Three Forks has to offer.

It's also a great time to visit local vendors and downtown businesses. Shopping locally is critical at this time of year, and the Three Forks Christmas Stroll gives the perfect opportunity to do it.

For any event the size of the Christmas Stroll, a group of hardworking and dedicated volunteers always puts in countless hours to ensure things run smoothly. Thank you to all those who devote their time. Having volunteered at similar events, I understand what it takes to make the event successful, and thanks for everything you do. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.

It should be a great day on December 14 in Three Forks, and hopefully, there will be a huge crowd to enjoy the 2024 Stroll.
