The Three Forks/Ennis High School Wrestling team battled against high-level competition at last week's Jim Street Mining City Duals at the Butte Civic Center.
After a tough first day of competition, the Wolves battled back on day two, winning their final dual 39-34 against Class AA Helena High School.
Head Coach Nye Howey said the team did not wrestle well on the first day, but day two was much better for the team.
In their opening match on December 13, Three Forks fell 69-12 to Helena Capital.
Winning for the Wolves were Jacob Murphy, who defeated Riley Thompson by fall in 1:54 at 132 pounds, and Tatum Todd, who also won by fall at 157 pounds, picking up a pin at the 3:37 mark against Kai Richardson.
In other action on December 13, the Wolves won 48-36 over Havre and fell 76-0 to Class AA Billings West.
In the win over Havre, Dylan Andersen won by fall at 1:20 over Urijah Davis at 165 pounds, and Randy Pyfer won by fall in 52 seconds at 215 pounds over Gage Chapman.
On December 14, Three Forks/Ennis fell 42-27 to Ronan.
Murphy picked up another pin for the Wolves, defeating Ridge Cote in 2:23. Logan Douma picked up a pin at 138 pounds, defeating Joseph Fullwiler at the four-minute mark.
Koper Kovnesky won a 12-9 decision over Skylar Sias and 144 pounds, Mathias Hogue pinned Baylon Hess in 48 seconds at 150 pounds, and Tatum Todd won by pin at 4:47 at 157 pounds over Jairyn Krause.
The Wolves ended the tournament with a 39-34 win over Helena.
Vincent Diaz won by fall at 1:28 over Payton Severson at 175 pounds, Douma won by fall at 138 pounds in 43 seconds over Simon Hensley, Kooper Kovnesky pinned Mason Rose at the 2:51 mark at 144 pounds, and Todd won a 4-3 decision over Bronson Olson at 157 pounds.
Howey said Douma, Todd, Kooper Kovnesky, and Andersen wrestled well on the final day.
The team will have a busy week, with a mixer on December 19 at East Helena and the prestigious CMR Holiday Classic on December 20 and 21 in Great Falls.
