Family members, politicians and members of the Montana Supreme Court welcomed newly elected Chief Justice Cory Swanson during a swearing-in ceremony last week in Helena, marking the beginning of a new leadership chapter for the state's highest court.
Swanson, 48, comes to the bench after serving 10 years as the Broadwater County attorney. Prior to that role, he worked in private practice and the attorney general's office under Republican Tim Fox.
